The Giraffe Centre

Approximately 15 Kilometres from the Central Business District, The Giraffe Centre was established in order to protect the endangered Rothschild giraffe which can only be found in the grasslands of East Africa

The Giraffe Centre is a creation of the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (A.F.E.W. Kenya), a Kenyan non-profit organisation.

It offers visitors an opportunity to come into close close contact with the giraffes from a raised wood structure. You can hand feed the Giraffes and even kiss them. It is also a home for warthogs.

Kenyan school children and youth also come here to learn on their country’s wildlife and environment conservation. Carry a valid Identification Card with you. Proceeds from entry fees go towards conservation education work with students and teachers across Kenya.
